Technical Data

Item Details
Core & Coating Made of premium micro-grain solid tungsten carbide. Common coatings include TiSiN, AlTiCrN, or nano-composite coatings, with a coating hardness of up to 3500HV and oxidation resistance at 1100°C.
Key Dimensions Cutting diameters typically range from 1mm – 20mm; corner radii are usually 0.2mm – 0.5mm for small-medium diameters. For example, a 4mm diameter cutter may have a 0.2mm corner radius. Overall lengths are 50mm – 100mm, and shank diameters match the cutting diameter (e.g., 8mm shank for 8mm cutting diameter).
Structural Features Mostly 4-flute design; spiral angle is often 35°. It adopts a passivated cutting edge and double edge-line structure. The flutes are smooth and wide, and some models have variable flute spacing to reduce vibration.
Applicable Scope Suitable for machining hardened steel, mold steel (e.g., 718, S136), carbon steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and even some stainless steel and titanium alloys. Compatible with CNC milling machines for face milling, side milling, and 3D contouring.

Advantages

  1. Strong Hard-Machining Capability: The micro-grain tungsten carbide and high-performance coating enable it to stably machine materials up to HRC55 (even up to HRC58 for some models) without easy chipping or wear, outperforming HSS cutters in hard material processing.
  2. Stable Cutting & High Precision: The 4-flute structure and optimized spiral geometry reduce cutting vibration. The corner radius design avoids sharp corner damage, ensuring smooth entry/exit during cutting and achieving burr-free, high-precision machining of contours and planes.
  3. Efficient & Time-Saving:
  4. Long Service Life.
