Technical Data

1. Materials: Common materials include heat – treated high carbon steel. High – speed steel (HSS), HSS – G, and chrome vanadium steel are also optional. Some HSS versions have a hardness of HRC 62.
2. Dimensions: The diameter typically ranges from 3mm to 20mm. The overall length is usually 300mm – 400mm, and the flute length can reach 300mm. There are also compact models with an overall length of 150mm and a flute length of 100mm for shallower holes.
3. Structural Details: It is equipped with a round shank, and reduced shank, quick – change hex shank are available. It adopts double flutes (twin land or fast spiral flutes are optional). The head has a brad point with two cutting spurs. The surface finish is usually black and bright.
4. Rotational Speed: Recommended rotational speed is 2500 – 4000 rpm when drilling hardwoods, and the speed needs to be adjusted lower for small – diameter bits.
