Technical Data

  1. Material & Grain: Crafted from ultra-fine grain solid carbide, with grain sizes ranging from 0.5 – 0.7μm (some high-end models reach 0.2 – 0.4μm). Its cobalt content is typically 10% – 12%, and flexural strength is 3200 – 4300 N/mm².
  2. Dimensions: The cutting diameter ranges from 2mm – 40mm (customizable up to 300mm), the overall length is 30 – 200mm, and the number of flutes is usually 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8. For example, a 14mm model has a 12mm shank diameter, 9mm cutting length, and 70mm total length.
  3. Coatings: Common coatings include AlTiN, TiSiN, TiCN, and DLC. TiSiN coating has a hardness of 3600HV and can resist oxidation at 1000°C; AlTiN coating has a hardness of 3200HV and oxidation resistance at 900°C.
  4. Cutting Parameters: It suits workpieces with hardness up to HRC 65. For carbon steel, the recommended spindle speed is 4800 – 7200 rpm and feed rate is 350 – 650 mm/min; for aluminum, the spindle speed can reach 9000 – 12000 rpm and feed rate 800 – 1200 mm/min.
